New Honda Jazz Teaser Video Released Ahead Of July 2015 Launch

Honda India has recently released a new teaser video titled 'Flowers for Chloe' for its upcoming renewed hatchback - the 2015 Honda Jazz. Ever since the car was pulled from the market (owing to poor sales), Honda has been determined to re-enter the B+ car segment to cater to the needs of premium hatchback lovers. With the all new Jazz this time in both petrol & diesel variants, the company hopes to rise back with style with a new design, renewed equipment and an updated platform. The new teaser is a 3-part international film (a web series) to showcase the new Jazz on the backdrop of New York skyline in a never-gets-old-kind tale of how Ben wins Chloe's heart. Only the first part has been released till now and it shows Ben bringing a Jazz full of flowers to Chloe. At the end of the movie, Honda confirms a July 2015 India launch for the hatchback and if earlier reports are to be believed the date could very well be 8th of July.

The official website for the new Jazz doesn't speak of specifications as of now. From the video and pictures that have appeared till date, the word's getting around about the car's design follows Honda's new City and Civic models. There's a sculpted bumper on the front and new alloy wheel designs, the headlights go smaller and there are new fog lamp enclosures. Chances of an increased interior space and a multi-function steering wheel can't be ignored. The 'Magic Seat' option makes way for 4 luggage modes: Long Mode, Refresh Mode, Tall Mode and Utility Mode.

Speculations suggest that the 2015 Jazz will be powered by either of the two variants: a 1.2 Litre i-VTEC petrol engine or a 1.5 Litre i-DTEC diesel engine. Five speed manual transmission and CVT will be optional. The new Jazz's mileage is expected to be 26 km/litre.

Among other features that may tag along with the hatchback include touchscreen infotainment system, touch intuitive system for auto-climate control and steering mounted controls. We will know more about the interiors once the company updates their website.

Honda will be manufacturing the 2015 Jazz at its Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. Set to compete against the likes of Maruti Swift, Hyundai i20, Tata Bolt and Fiat Punto Evo, the Jazz would have to rely on a correct pricing for guaranteed success in the Indian market.
